Wing Cho “Christy” Chim, Esq.

            Wing Cho “Christy” Chim is the Senior Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of Timothy W. Davis.  She has been a fundamental member of the firm since she first joined us in October of 2016.  She is admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland and is a member of both the Maryland State Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association.  Christy is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and has been learning Spanish.

            Based on her own experiences, Christy has always known of the vital roles immigrants play in forming the foundation of the United States.  She chose from an early age to do something that would help others and has spent much of her life fulfilling that goal.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Sociology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2012 before moving on to attend law school at University of Maryland, Francis King Carey School of Law.  She graduated with her juris doctorate in 2016, and shortly afterwards began her career in immigration law.  During these past seven years, Christy has meticulously and earnestly worked with her clients, helping them in their pursuits of Asylum, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, Cancellation of Removal, and various types of visa applications and petitions.  She also spent six months working with the International Rescue Committee at their Baltimore office, and has represented hundreds of clients before the Immigration Court and in various Circuit Courts in the state of Maryland.

            Christy’s primary motivation for working in immigration law is the knowledge that with every client she assists and every positive result she achieves, she is helping to bring peace of mind to those who often live with the constant fear of being separated from their families and removed from the safety they have come to appreciate here in the United States.
