Paralegal and Interpreter
Luis Quintanilla is a Paralegal and Interpreter at the Law Offices of Timothy W. Davis. He has been an important member of the team since he joined the firm in June of 2023 and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Born and raised in El Salvador, Luis came to the United States in 2018. Since arriving, he has been able to earn a legal status, but he knows all too well the challenges that immigrants face when they want to begin that process. He found that in his pursuit of legal status, the complex immigration system often felt unfair and difficult to comprehend, and navigating it was a stressful and bewildering endeavor. Because of this, he chose to pursue his education and a career in a field which would allow him to assist those who, just like him, were seeking a better life. Luis graduated from Baltimore City Community College in 2023 with his associate’s degree in Applied Sciences. While doing so, he spent a few months interning at the Law Offices of Timothy W. Davis beginning in March of 2023. He chose to return to the firm in a full-time position after he graduated, as he found during his internship that working in immigration law allows him the opportunity to do all he can to help immigrants in situations similar to his own. In the time that he has been with the firm, Luis has worked diligently to help the attorneys as they aid our clients.
To Luis, immigration is important because he believes it is about more than just laws; rather, it helps break society from its conventions and embrace diversity, compassion, and opportunities for people from all walks of life. Because of his personal experiences, Luis seeks to do his part in helping others on their journeys towards finding those opportunities and bettering their lives. To accomplish this, in addition to working at the Law Offices of Timothy W. Davis, Luis is also currently attending the University of Baltimore, studying for his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Law.
