Karla Marroquin Paz

            Karla Marroquin Paz is an Administrative Assistant and Interpreter at the Law Offices of Timothy W. Davis.  She has been a key part of this firm since March of 2023 and is fluent in both Spanish and English.

            Karla was born in El Salvador and came to the United States as a young girl.  As an immigrant herself and coming from a family of immigrants, Karla has seen and experienced the everyday obstacles of not having a legal status in the United States.  Growing up, she felt the pain of being deprived of many things that many U.S.-born citizens take for granted and of watching her family struggle to adjust and overcome the hardships of living in the United States.  Because of this, once Karla’s legal status changed, she immediately set out to find work in a field that would allow her to help other immigrants in similar situations, especially young children and adolescents.  In the time that she has been with the firm, she has been able to use her fluency in Spanish and English to directly assist clients with filling out forms, to translate and file documents, and otherwise support the attorneys in their work to help our clients.

            To Karla, immigration law is incredibly important, as it allows many immigrants, like herself, to gain legal status in the United States, which in turn opens the door to countless opportunities to succeed in this country.
